Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals

As parish churches, it is a privilege to be a part of the significant events in people’s lives and to be able to offer stability and support in changing times. We can conduct baptism, wedding and funeral services in all of our churches – please get in touch with us via the contacts page, we’d love to hear from you.

Baptisms

Baptisms take place at one of the regular Sunday services. Baptism is a visible sign of joining the church and points to God’s grace to us – or undeserved mercy – through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If you are thinking that you would like to have your child baptised, please contact us.

Your child is precious to you and precious to God. You want the very best for them, and so does God. You want them to make right choices in life, for themselves and for others.

A christening is just the beginning of this and so much more.

Over the years to come, it’s a journey you’ll share together with your child.

Marriage is one of the most important commitments we can make, as the introduction to the marriage service says:

“Marriage is a way of life made holy by God, and blessed by the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ with those celebrating a wedding at Cana in Galilee.

Marriage is a sign of unity and loyalty which all should uphold and honour. It enriches society and strengthens community.

No one should enter into it lightly or selfishly but reverently and responsibly in the sight of almighty God.”

To help you prepare for the beginning of this new phase of life we are pleased that we can offer marriage preparation that will include the Christian ideals for loving lifelong marriage. During these sessions you will also be able to plan and finalise your wedding day.
